about ash

A point of view.

Ash is contemporary Italian, our way. House-made pasta. A wine list built to sharpen the food rather than defer to it. Hospitality that takes itself seriously without taking itself too seriously.

Opened in April 2024 at Water Street Tampa by Chef Ferrell Alvarez and the team behind Rooster & the Till, in the heart of Water Street Tampa.

Ferrell is a Tampa native and James Beard Best Chef South semi-finalist. The kitchen is led day-to-day by Chef de Cuisine Seth Temple, formerly of Le Chat Noir in New Orleans. Sarah Snyder runs the dining room.

Sarah Snyder

General Manager

Sarah brings 15 years of hospitality experience to Ash. A Buffalo native, she moved to Florida in 2022 and quickly became a fixture in Tampa Bay's dining scene — leading operations at Allelo, Juno & the Peacock, and Pluma Lounge before joining Proper House Group.

Whether she's opening a new concept or running a full dining room, Sarah's focus stays the same: build a strong team and make every guest feel like they belong. At Ash, that philosophy shapes everything.

Seth Temple

Chef de Cuisine

Seth grew up on the Cajun outskirts of Lake Charles, Louisiana — where food was local, comfort-driven, and non-negotiable. He trained at Nicholls State's John Folse Culinary Institute and earned a scholarship to Lyon's Institut Paul Bocuse, where classical French technique met Southern instinct.

After years in New Orleans, a stint at Lyle's in London, and a run as Chef de Cuisine at Barroco in Montreal's Old Port, Seth landed at Ash — bringing Louisiana's depth, French precision, and a restless appetite for refinement to every plate.
